Happy Halloween!!!

Averie and Andrew had a rather uneventful Halloween night.  They are only 5 months old....so Halloween is really no big deal.  They did wear matching outfits today and that was cute.  We went out to lunch with our very good friends from Red Bank Middle School and then we went out to dinner when Dad got home from work.  Yesterday Averie got a great report from the ENT about her ears.  She is really doing well getting big.  Well, Happy Halloween everyone.

Crazy Kicking Babies....

This afternoon I had gotten them all ready to go to church and I laid them down to play for a minute while I finished getting dressed.  I just took some quick video because I thought they looked cute in their hats.  Can you tell that I am getting hooked on this video thing??

Tired Pumpkins....

Today was Trunk or Treat at our church.  Our Sunday school class sponsored trunk and we went to help hand out candy.  It was a beautiful day and we had a great crowd at church.  Andrew and Averie were dressed up like pumkins and they were very cute.  However, as you can see, they were very tired.  The just took them some naps out in the sun.  It was very cute.  Everyone that came by our trunk just oohed and ahhed over them.  I was a very proud mama.  Enjoy!!!

ps-isn't she the cutest thing sucking her thumb....I know it is bad, but she LOVES it!!!

Feeding Victories.....

As many of you know, the biggest issue we have had with Andrew and Averie is their eating.  They both have had and Averie continues to have feeding problems.  However, in the last few days we have won a victory with Andrew.  Up to this point both of them have been very unorganized when they would take their bottles.  Therefore, we have had to swaddle them while they eat.  I decided that I would try to get Andrew to eat without the swaddle and the last two days he has taken every bottle with his hands free.  Every now and then we still have wild helicopter arms, but for the most part he is really doing great.  I thought he was particularly cute this morning because, as you can see, he has his hands in a perfectly organized position.  I am very proud of my little man.  He is the sweetest baby.  You would all just love him.  Please continue to keep Averie in your thoughts.  She is still struggling mightily to eat with success.  We know it will get better, it is just frustrating for all of us.

Big Girl Averie

I am figuring out how to use my video camera with my MAC computer.  I am getting better.  This short clip was filmed a week or so ago and I just thought I would share it.  She is cute as pie holding up her head.

Averie with tubes

Averie had tubes put in her ears yesterday. She had a lot of fluid on her ears and they were able to drain it all off.  She also had an endoscopy which showed no damage to her esophagus.  She was a little sleepy last night, but is doing really well.

Andrew in Motion.....

Andrew has discovered how to kick his feet.  He still will not smile at the camera because he can't figure out what it is.  However, he looked cute in his blue and brown stripped pants.  Enjoy!!!

Sunday Nap......PLEASE!!!!

We went out to eat with some friends after church on Sunday.  As you can see, Averie and Andrew were wanting to take their Sunday nap.  They slept great at the restaurant, but when we arrived at home, they were ready to party.

Bless his heart.....he was so sleepy that he fell asleep sitting straight up in his dad's lap.  Perfect shot of baby drool don't you think.

Pumpkin Patch!!!!

Today we took Andrew and Averie to a place called Guthrie Farms. This farm is north of us in a little town called Riceville, TN.  Andrew and Averie have on their onsies that my mom made them.  If you can't tell, Andrew has Dr. Frankenstein on his, and Averie has a cute witch on hers.  These are sort of their Halloween costumes.  We put them down in the pumkin patch and they liked it at first, but by the time we could get a picture it was all over.  I  still think they are cute......don't you???

Jeremiah  and Jill were here visiting and so they went with us.  These are pictures of Jeremiah and the twins in the pumpkins.  He did a great job holding them.

Averie loves her tongue!!!  It is always sticking out.

This place also had a petting barn.  They had all kinds of farm animals and it smelled really great in there!!!  Also, you will notice that Bruce is on this outing with us.  It is always nice to get to spend time with him because he works so much.  We love it when dad is around.
Jeremiah posing with the pigs.....we teased him that they were his long lost cousins.
We went on a hayride and through a corn maze.  Even though we didn't make it through the maze, we had a good time.  The maze was really hard.  I hope that everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did.  Here are just a few more pictures......enjoy!!!

Aunt Jill and Cousin Jeremiah......

My sister, Jill, and her son, Jeremiah, came to Chattanooga for a visit this weekend.  We were all excited to see them and for them to see Andrew and Averie.  I hope that they enjoyed visiting with us as much a we enjoyed seeing them.

Jeremiah is a great cousin!!  He loved to hold and play with Andrew and Averie. He even fed Andrew half of his bottle this morning.   It was a positive step for Jeremiah to call them by their names, considering he used to call them "that boy", and "that girl".  It was all very cute!!!!

Milestones....

Aren't they the cutest things??!!!  They have had a rough couple of days, but seem to be much better this morning.  Sometimes it is hard for me to capture them doing things because they get distracted by the camera. However, yesterday, Averie was asleep on the floor and when she woke up she popped her head up and I was able to capture it on camera.  Andrew was on the floor today and I was able to get some shots of him.  Right after I took these pictures he rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time.  Averie did the same thing early this morning.  She was laying on her tummy on the floor and when I returned from changing Andrew's diaper she was on her back.  They may be small, but they are doing all of the things they should be doing.
